I just can&#8217;t take it.<\/p>\n<p>As a teenager, I had two favorite alternative rock stations I listened to. I could turn on the radio at any time, and it was almost guaranteed that one of those stations would be playing a song I liked. Ah, those were the good ol&#8217; days, and it&#8217;s amazing how music can trigger memories.<\/p>\n<p>Slowly, it happened that the newer the band to air on one of these stations, the less I liked what I heard.\u00a0At some point during my high-school years, and without\u00a0being aware of it at the time, the type of music I liked started to <em><strong>crystallize<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Now, I despise any and all new &#8220;hit&#8221; music on the radio these days, and simply stick with whatever I had enjoyed when I was a teenager. Well, there has been <em>some<\/em> venturing into different genres of music that I enjoy, but majority of the bands I listen to now remains very similar to the ones I liked back then.<\/p>\n<p>Realizing this, it&#8217;s funny to think that I used to make fun of my parents for not &#8220;getting&#8221; the music I liked. I just didn&#8217;t understand it, my music so good! How could they <em>not<\/em> like it?<\/p>\n<p>Nope. Now, slowly my <em>teenage years <\/em>music is becoming &#8220;classic alternative&#8221;, and not too many people younger than me listen to it.<\/p>\n<p>With each generation comes &#8220;<em>back in my day, music was actually good&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Also back in my day, MTV and VH1 actually played music videos&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I stopped listening to the radio many years ago.
