I got an incredible<\/em> opportunity to travel to Las Vegas and give a short talk\u00a0at the 2011\u00a0AT&T Developer Summit<\/a> on a few of the cool Android projects I’ve done in school.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I was given only ~5 minutes to present 3 of my projects: RoadBump<\/em>, FeedSpeak<\/a><\/em>, and SPRIME<\/a><\/em> – giving\u00a0a student’s perspective on Android programming. The other 15 minutes went to Dr. Russ Clark<\/a> who talked about the GT-RNOC lab, and Shweta Patira, who talked about her iPhone\/Android projects.<\/p>\n

The three of us were probably the only people at the entire conference that were\u00a0not<\/em> trying to sell something, so we brought a unique and refreshing view of mobile phone development. I think a more appropriate title for this conference is “AT&T Developers Boss’s Summit”, because most of it was just business marketing.<\/p>\n

As for my first time in Vegas… wow, so many flashy lights and\u00a0humongous<\/em> buildings!<\/p>\n

It’s a shame I had to leave as CES 2011<\/a> was starting. At least I got to witness the live unveiling of Motorola’s new Atrix<\/a> phone (and instantly fall in love with it)!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
